About the work
What should people know about your work?
I’m one of those people who stuck with traditional painting on canvas, but at the same time I try out new media and look for ways of expressing a given idea differently. Mostly I experiment with different approaches so that I can get a feel of new materials. It all springs from my curiosity with respect to new techniques and methods. On a thematic level, I concern myself with my environment and keeping records. My art becomes a diary. I work with the moment, detail, attentiveness, fragility, absence and recollection. I compose my paintings intuitively, but each element, object or colour that I apply to the canvas represents a certain symbol for me – whether underpinned by history or my personal experience and actions.
