About the work
What should people know about your work?
For me, the most important theme in my final year was the restoration of two classical, terracotta sculptures. I selected the theme of my theoretical paper accordingly: “Hellenic polychrome terracotta, research and reconstruction.” It included a short study trip to Florence.
As part of one my other diploma assignments, the restoration of a stone Baroque statue, I tried to solve the problem of presenting a fragmentarily preserved artwork without the possibility of sculptural reconstruction.
My last diploma task was to restore an alabaster statue of a saint where I worked with the reversibility of the intervention and with sculptural additions.
Restoration is not funny, but it’s quite a lot of fun.
How do you see yourself and your work five years from now?
Five years from now I see myself and my work in a fairly rosy way.
