About the work
Ivana Mrázková is a realist painter following traditional methods, from small open-air studies to complete studio large-dimensional works. She represents Nature in its “pure” form, void of both people and any traces of civilization. She has recently focused on motifs where the common denominator is water, whether it is lakes, rivers, or streams. Water interests her as her main subject, and she also views it as the source of all life, trying to get this “mythical dimension” into her paintings.
