About the work
What should people know about your work?
Although figurative sculptures are the dominant aspect of my artistic practice, I also concern myself with the body as such, corporeality and the haptic. For my diploma work I’m making an interior with a group of four figures, each of which represents and symbolises a certain function. The viewer should feel like a guest visiting this interior.
How do you see yourself and your work five years from now?
I see myself as having travelled through quite a bit of the world, experiencing the beauty of other cultures. I also picture myself as already having my own family. My entrepreneurial dream is to have a cosy art café in Prague which would at the same time be an exhibition space facilitating contacts between visitors and artists and allowing them to purchase sculptures, paintings, prints or design products. As far as my own practice is concerned, it’s hard for me to give a concrete answer. I will see what will influence me in my life, and how. In the near future I would definitely like to carry out some of my existing ideas for sculptures.
