About the work
What should people know about your work?
I spent the first semester of my final year on a study trip to South Korea where I worked on a project of my own choosing – a village in the middle of Soul. I looked for a new future for it that would help protect it from being demolished and replaced by some other kind of housing development. I designed a joinery workshop offering new work opportunities, as well as towers that will ensure that the village is sustainable.
In the second semester everyone in the studio worked on the same brief – a sports ground in the centre of Prague. My plot of land is located in Albertov, opposite the Convent of the Order of the Sisters of Saint Elizabeth (now a hospital). The project works with the theme of a wall, walls being a typical feature of this quarter of Prague.
How do you see yourself and your work five years from now?
Five years from now I’d like to be working as an architect in a small studio and two days a week I’d like to do glass blowing, or any other kind of manual work, in order to take a break from the computer.
