About the work

Roza Pogosian conceives her four-hour collective performance as a lab of relationships – between people and of people to what is around them. She seeks answers to what it means to be an inhab-itant of the Earth and how to provide conditions resulting in harmonic coexistence. She created an environment structured into three parts. In the first one, performers manifest the present-day issues that surface as a form of purification. The second is a tea room representing a transition zone to the third part, called “inner garden”. The artist views it as an ecological microsystem, erasing the boundaries between man and “the other”. Cultivating the inner garden helps healing today so frequent anxiety via time spent in the “space of closeness”, which “reconstructs the vision of the world”. The performance joins musicians, dancers, performers, artists, and other people of various cultural, social, and gender identities from all over the world. They confess this idea to spread the values of unity and to make changes through empathy and consideration.
