About the work
What should people know about your work?
With my paintings and sculptures I create questions, making it is possible to constantly acquire new insights on the issues they examine. Primarily I work with contrast, both in terms of content and form – this allows me to create the tension which means I can continuously dissect and reassemble familiar notions about childhood and adulthood, games and reality, humour and tragedy, reason and instinctiveness. The essence is to acquire a detached view and my own position.
How do you see yourself and your work five years from now?
I want to go on with my work on a continual basis and in five years’ time I envisage it reaching deeper into itself.
